I have always been a Type A personality go-getter, high strung person. Stress and burnout became very much a part of my life, and I thought it was normal & okay. I witness stress manifesting throughout my body with muscle tension, headaches, gastrointestinal issues, clenched or grinding teeth, and difficulty sleeping. Despite watching what I was eating & making exercise a priority, I continued to gain weight.
Living in Singapore for the past 12 years, I thought it was part and parcel of living in a fast-paced cosmopolitan metropolis. I have accepted the fact that I can never be the stick skinny girl and blamed it on my unlucky genes.
I became tired of feeling tired, stressed and depressed. I didn’t care about how I looked; I just want to FEEL GOOD again. I had enough of burnout!
Now that I’m in my 40s, my quest for vigor and quality of life became my top priority. I had to find MY HOLY GRAIL. Being a Science geek and having a background in Pharmaceutical Science, I dug into the science and research of well-being and Vigor.
Today, I am passionate about educating people to learn about their biochemistry, or the secret of their vigor. I’m not talking about curing a specific illness or diagnosis. It’s about harnessing the body’s biochemistry for better physical energy, mental acuity and emotional well-being. It’s about taking back control of your well-being and keeping chronic stress in check, so you can feel good, look & perform your best in your own version.
In modern times, people try to temporarily reduce fatigue with energy drinks or other stimulants. However, it doesn’t restore vigor and might sap vigor in the long-run as it doesn’t address the underlying biochemical imbalances.
As a wellness educator, what really lights me is helping people dealing with chronic stress and anxiety experiencing true vigor the non western medicine way.
